Summer glau

Firefly the new Whedon hit show, grew out of her one-off episode. Summer Glau's River Tam character was complex and Glau dealt with it well. As Tam, the character was enticed into government-sponsored experiments in which she was being made to become an ideal assassin. Tam was unable to control her emotions as a result. Glau was able to display her combat capabilities as well as her acting skills on Firefly. The training she received as an assassin gave her the opportunity to use the full range of athletic skills she has. Summer Glau has been a ballerina since the time she was a child. Broken toes marked the last straw in her life as an actress. Firefly only lasted one season, but the show garnered a large fan following. This was so intense that Whedon went back to it after a few years. Summer Glau kept on getting her fair share of work.
