tito ortizJacob Christopher "Tito" Ortiz born January 23, 1975) is an American mixed martial artist and politician. The current contract he is signed by Combate Americas. Ortiz is most famous for his involvement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in which he was a former Light Heavyweight Champion, having held the title from April 14, 2000, to September 26, 2003. Along with fighters like Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell, he was one of the early stars of the sport. Ortiz ultimately became the biggest pay-per-view star of 2006 due to his fights against Liddell, Forrest Griffin, and Ken Shamrock Ortiz is the director of Punishment Athletics MMA equipment and clothing line. It is located in his home town of Huntington Beach, California.
